A useful fit for

A good fit if one opaque 6-quart pull-out basket is enough, you value guided preheat and turn reminders, and you will use its named Dehydrate setting as well as ordinary Air Fry. The manufacturer documents top-rack dishwasher cleaning for the basket and crisper.

The main tradeoff

It has one cooking zone, a 400°F maximum and no transparent glass vessel. Six quarts is nominal, and the exact sources do not provide a complete three-axis footprint or identify the basket substrate, coating chemistry or PFAS-free status. Gourmia’s store page was marked sold out at capture, so this review does not promise availability.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Would one pull-out basket and one cooking zone fit your normal routine?

GAF652 has one physical basket and one cooking area; foods share a cooking program.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does a six-quart nominal basket meet your minimum size?

Gourmia lists six quarts. It meets a six-quart minimum, not a stricter 6.5-quart minimum.

Explore this need in the finder →
Do you need a Dehydrate mode that can be set down to 90°F?

The exact GAF652 guide lists Dehydrate at 90–170°F; its Air Fry mode instead starts at 170°F.

Explore this need in the finder →
Do you need an air-fry setting that reaches at least 400°F?

The exact guide lists Air Fry from 170°F to 400°F. It does not document a 450°F mode.

Explore this need in the finder →
Must the exact manufacturer source confirm dishwasher cleaning for the removable basket?

Yes. Gourmia identifies the basket and crisper as dishwasher-safe; the owner guide specifies top-rack care after cooling.

Explore this need in the finder →
Is a transparent glass cooking vessel essential?

No. GAF652 uses an opaque pull-out basket; its product page and exact guide do not describe a glass vessel.

Explore this need in the finder →
Is an explicit manufacturer PFAS-free statement for every food-contact surface essential?

Gourmia calls the removable components nonstick but does not publish coating chemistry or a full PFAS-free statement for this model.

The Gourmia GAF652 is a single-basket, 6-quart digital air fryer with a 1,500-watt rating and a 12-function touchscreen. It is aimed at cooks who want one drawer with familiar food presets, optional preheating and a reminder to turn food, rather than separate cooking zones or a transparent vessel. Its useful distinction is the combination of a dedicated Dehydrate setting, a nominal six-quart basket and dishwasher-care instructions for the removable cooking parts.

One drawer, one cooking program

GAF652 is a conventional pull-out basket design, not an oven cavity or a two-zone machine. The product page lists 6 quarts, while the owner guide’s troubleshooting advice is more useful for everyday loading: stay below the basket’s max line, use smaller batches for more even cooking, and turn or toss food that overlaps. A six-quart label cannot tell you that a whole chicken, a particular pan or a wide single layer will fit. If you cook larger pieces or want two foods on different settings to finish together, compare the physical layout and exact basket dimensions before choosing it.

The panel has twelve named one-touch functions: Air Fry, Fries, Wings, Bacon, Seafood, Vegetables, Bake, Roast, Broil, Dehydrate, Reheat and Keep Warm. The presets provide a starting point, not an automatic guarantee of doneness. Gourmia’s guide lets you adjust temperature and time, and says to check food before the timer ends and verify raw proteins with a food-safe temperature. The fryer does not include a documented integrated probe. If you rely on one, choose a model whose maker specifically lists that hardware instead of treating the GAF652’s digital display as temperature monitoring inside the food.

Guidance that changes the routine

Preheat and Turn Reminder are optional controls. When preheat is enabled, the fryer signals when to add the food; when the halfway reminder is enabled, it prompts you to turn or toss the contents. Those are useful cues for a cook who wants prompts without having to remember a separate app. They do not remove the need to check the food: the manual recommends inspecting it a few minutes before the set time finishes. The guide also advises preheating for best results and says that for consecutive batches, preheating is needed only before the first one.

The temperature range depends on the selected function. Air Fry adjusts from 170°F to 400°F, while Dehydrate reaches 90°F to 170°F; Keep Warm uses a separate 150°F to 200°F range. That low Dehydrate endpoint is valuable only if you actually want a drying mode. It is not a 90°F setting for air frying, and the overall maximum is 400°F. If your essential requirement is a higher crisping temperature, a dedicated 450°F function or a different operating mode, this model does not meet it.

Cleaning and countertop fit

Gourmia identifies the GAF652 basket and crisper tray as dishwasher-safe, and its exact owner guide narrows that to the dishwasher’s top rack. Let both parts cool first; the same guide says not to use metal utensils or abrasive cleaners because they can damage the nonstick surface. The manufacturer does not identify the basket’s underlying material, the coating chemistry or whether every food-contact surface is PFAS-free. “Stainless-steel accents” on the listing is not the same claim as a stainless-steel basket body. If a specific substrate or an explicit PFAS-free statement is essential, treat the GAF652 as unconfirmed for that need.

The owner guide calls for at least four inches of free space above and around the appliance, and says not to put anything on top while it is operating. The product page also prints two linear measurements but does not label their axes or provide a complete three-dimensional footprint in the accessible specification text. Do not rely on those fragments as a cabinet-fit drawing; leave the manual’s clearance and enough room to pull out a hot basket. The guide specifies AC 120 V, 60 Hz and 1,500 W, which is useful for checking an ordinary U.S. outlet and circuit plan.

Who should consider the GAF652?

Consider it if one basket is enough, six nominal quarts suits your batch pattern, and you value named Dehydrate, adjustable settings, guided preheat and a top-rack-cleanable basket and tray. It is less suitable if you need two independent zones, a clear glass cooking vessel, a documented basket material, a PFAS-free statement or temperature above 400°F. Gourmia’s U.S. store listing was marked sold out when checked, so this assessment describes the model rather than promising current stock.

For a larger nominal capacity and a transparent glass basket, compare the Gourmia GAF7020 family; it also uses one cooking zone, so visibility and vessel style—not independent timing—are the meaningful changes. The Ninja AF141 is a smaller 5-quart alternative with four functions and its own 400°F ceiling. See the Gourmia basket comparison for the practical tradeoffs. None of these source specifications is an independent cooking test, so choose by the foods, space and cleanup routine you can verify.
