Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Would a door-front digital oven work better than a pull-out drawer?
The model-labelled guide documents an oven cavity, LED touch controls and one cooking zone; exact accessories vary.
Explore this need in the finder →Would the separate Dehydrator mode be useful if 90°F is enough?
The exact manual documents 90–170°F for Dehydrator and a separate 2–24-hour timer.
Explore this need in the finder →Are two independently set cooking zones essential?
No: the exact manual describes one cavity and one control set, even when trays sit at different levels.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you require the stated capacity to meet a hard threshold?
The model-labelled guide identifies GLA-1003-NR and gives one consistent 12-quart/693-cubic-inch capacity, which can support a minimum-capacity filter. Its current availability and exact seller bundle are not established by the captured air-fryers collection.
Explore this need in the finder →PowerXL Air Fryer Home Pro GLA-1003-NR review
The PowerXL Air Fryer Home Pro GLA-1003-NR is an oven-form air fryer with one front door and one cooking cavity. Its model-labelled manual lists 12 quarts (693 cubic inches), 120 V/60 Hz, 1,700 watts and an LED touch screen. Those published numbers make it easier to compare with other counter ovens, but they are not measurements of usable tray area or cooking performance. A 12-quart label cannot tell you whether a roasting pan or a particular batch will fit across one shelf.
A useful distinction: Home Pro is not the rotisserie Pro
This model suits kitchens that want rack-style loading and several preset routines but do not need a rotating spit. The manual lists a drip tray and crisper trays, with the latter useful for snacks, dehydration and reheating foods such as pizza. It does not list a rotisserie shaft or a Rotisserie preset for this model. That difference matters next to PowerXL’s Air Fryer Pro GLA-1005: the separate GLA-1005 guide describes a rotisserie shaft and a named Rotisserie mode. Do not assume the Home Pro’s cavity or accessory package includes the Pro model’s rotisserie kit just because the names are similar.
A single oven is also not two independent cooking zones. The Home Pro has one control panel and one time-and-temperature setting. Its shelves let you arrange food at more than one level, but the manual’s advice is to turn or rotate food partway through when needed. If a household wants separate programs for two foods that must finish together, a dual-drawer fryer is a better shape of solution. If you prefer not to bend to a low basket, an oven door may be easier to load, though it needs space to open and hot trays need a stable surface nearby.
Preset range and everyday operation
The manual names French Fry, Chicken, Steaks/Chops, Bake, Fish, Dehydrate, Reheat, Shrimp and Pizza presets. The normal cooking range is 150–400°F; Dehydrate is separate at 90–170°F, with a two-to-24-hour timer in half-hour increments. Ordinary programs use a one-to-90-minute timer. This is a meaningful capability for someone who wants both short meal cycles and a lower, long drying routine. The Dehydrate setting should not be read as an 90°F option for all the other presets.
The control instructions describe an internal light and a door that pauses the cooking cycle when opened. The guide tells you to rotate the crisper trays mid-cycle for more even cooking and to allow extra time from a cold start. Preset temperatures and times are starting points, not a promise that a crowded tray will cook evenly. Spreading food across several levels changes how you monitor it compared with a single basket; the layout rewards checking and turning rather than relying on a shake reminder.
Counter space and care
This oven needs a level, heat-resistant surface, room for the front door and at least five inches of clearance from nearby objects according to the manual. Intake and outlet vents must stay open. The guide calls for a dedicated 120-volt outlet. Its 1,700-watt rating is a useful planning detail, but it does not replace checking the rating label on the exact unit, particularly if it is used or has been moved between homes.
The manual says the stainless-steel cooking accessories are dishwasher-safe and recommends hand-washing caked-on food. The appliance body and door are not dishwasher-safe and must not be immersed. Package contents can vary, and some accessories may be sold separately, so check that the seller’s exact GLA-1003-NR bundle contains the trays you need. The model name alone does not establish that every pictured rack or accessory is in the box.
Who should choose it?
Choose the Home Pro when you want one digital oven cavity, the documented Dehydrate routine, and food-specific settings such as Bake and Pizza, but do not require a rotisserie. It is not a compact drawer or a synchronized dual-zone appliance. Skip it if the rotisserie attachment is central to your plans, if you need two separate baskets, or if you need a verified dimension or coating declaration that is not documented for this model.
The most practical comparison is with the GLA-1005 Air Fryer Pro: that exact manual adds rotisserie operation while retaining a 12-quart oven form. The GLA-1003-NR remains a simpler fit for someone who will use shelves and trays, not a spit. Neither manual supplies independent cooking tests, and no review here claims measured crispness, speed or noise. Compare the exact control label and accessory package before ordering a used or remaining-stock unit.
