The GLA-1005 guide explicitly names the model and lists 12 qt (693 cu in), 120 V/60 Hz, 1,700 W and an LED touch screen. It adds a Rotisserie preset and shaft/fork instructions that the GLA-1003-NR Home Pro manual does not list.

GLA-1005 is the rotisserie-equipped member of PowerXL’s oven-style air-fryer family. The model-labelled guide specifies a 12-quart cavity (693 cubic inches), 120 V/60 Hz, 1,700 watts, an LED touch screen and a 90–400°F overall range. It is a door-front countertop oven, not a pull-out drawer. Its strongest reason to choose it over a simpler rack oven is the documented Rotisserie mode and the shaft-and-fork accessory instructions.
What the rotisserie adds—and what it does not
The manual describes inserting meat along a shaft, securing it with forks and using the Fetch Tool to remove it. It warns that food must rotate freely; an item that is too large will not turn or cook evenly. The guide gives an average roast or chicken size of roughly 3.5–4 pounds as context, not a maximum guarantee or a tested result. If a rotating roast is important, this is a real functional distinction from the Home Pro GLA-1003-NR, whose manual names no rotisserie operation. If it is not important, the rotating hardware adds pieces to locate, clean and store without making the appliance a dual-zone fryer.
Although the cavity has several shelf positions and a set of crisper trays, the unit still has one cooking control. Loading different foods on two levels does not create two time-and-temperature programs, and the guide does not document synchronized finish. Food at separate heights may need attention or tray rotation; the owner guide calls for turning, flipping or rotating when appropriate. A pair of pull-out baskets is a better fit for side-by-side meals that need independent settings.
Controls, presets and the low-temperature mode
The panel offers Reheat, French Fry, Steaks/Chops, Fish, Shrimp, Pizza, Chicken, Baking, Rotisserie and Dehydrator presets. Most cooking settings can be adjusted from 150°F to 400°F, with a timer from one to 90 minutes. Dehydrating is separate: 90–170°F for two to 24 hours in 30-minute steps. That distinction is useful for a household that may dry food over several hours as well as roast or bake, but the low-temperature endpoint applies to Dehydrate, not to every named function.
The manual also describes an interior lamp and a door that pauses operation when opened. You can inspect food without pulling out a drawer, but every door opening interrupts the cycle and lets heat escape. Preset defaults are starting points rather than measured performance: French fries default to 400°F for 18 minutes, while the Rotisserie preset defaults to 375°F for 30 minutes. The manual says to adjust for the size and amount of food and to check meat with a food thermometer. No independent testing is claimed here.
Fit, setup and cleanup
Measure the counter and the door swing before choosing a front-opening oven. The guide requests five inches of clearance from surrounding objects and says not to block the air vents. It describes a dedicated 120-volt outlet, so check that the intended counter location can support the appliance’s specified 1,700-watt supply. The published 12-quart figure describes the cavity, not a promise that a large bird or pan will rotate freely; the rotisserie instructions are the better reference for spit clearance.
The model guide lists crisper trays, a drip pan, a rotisserie shaft, forks and other pieces, but also warns that accessory quantities vary and some parts may be sold separately. Verify the exact bundle rather than assuming an online photograph proves what is included. The manual says stainless accessories are dishwasher-safe, while recommending hand-washing for stuck-on food. The oven itself and its glass door must not go in a dishwasher or be immersed; wipe the interior and exterior after the unit cools.
Who should buy it?
GLA-1005 is worth considering if you want a single oven cavity with digital presets and a rotisserie setup that is documented for this exact model. It is a poor match for two independent drawers, rapid side-by-side meal scheduling, a compact footprint or a buyer who will never use the spit. Compare it with GLA-1003-NR if you want the same basic oven idea without the manual-listed Rotisserie mode, and with a dual-basket model if independent cooking is the priority.
Before buying a used or remaining-stock unit, check the label for GLA-1005, confirm that the shaft and forks are actually supplied, and verify current parts support. The manual’s 12-quart figure and electrical ratings are useful manufacturer specifications, not an independent capacity or energy test. Present stock, finish, coating chemistry, exterior dimensions and transferable warranty are not established here. The decision is chiefly about whether an oven-style cavity and its rotisserie routine fit your kitchen and cooking pattern.
