Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you need two independently controlled cooking zones at once?
With the divider installed, the exact manual documents separately selectable Zone 1 and Zone 2 settings. There is still only one physical pull-out basket.
Explore this need in the finder →Would you rather use one undivided cooking area?
Removing the divider changes the single wide basket into a 9-quart GrandZone. This is not the same operating plan as two independent zones.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you need two foods to finish together when their cooking times differ?
Yes, when the divider is installed: the exact manual documents Sync, which holds the shorter program until the remaining times align.
Explore this need in the finder →Must the manufacturer explicitly disclose PFAS-free food-contact surfaces?
The exact current product page describes the basket and crisper plates as PFAS-free ceramic-coated; this is a manufacturer disclosure, not a health assessment.
Explore this need in the finder →Is extended low-temperature drying central to your plan?
The exact manual lists Dry, but its 48-hour timer chart conflicts with its safety warning not to exceed 60 minutes on in two hours. Clarify the instruction with COSORI before relying on a long run.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you prefer one physical drawer that can be divided, or two separate pull-out drawers?
This model has one wide basket with a removable divider; the two cooking zones are not two separate drawers.
Explore this need in the finder →The COSORI TWINFRY CAF-TF901-KUS is a wide, 9-quart air fryer whose main distinction is not two removable drawers, but two ways to use one pull-out basket. Keep the removable divider in place and the basket becomes two independently controlled cooking zones; take it out and the appliance becomes one full-width GrandZone. That removable divider is the model’s key distinction.
One basket, two different operating plans
With the divider installed, the manual shows a Zone 1 and Zone 2 setup, each with its own function, temperature and time. The manufacturer describes each zone as 4.5 quarts. The Sync function lets foods with different durations finish together: the longer program starts first, while the shorter one waits and begins when the remaining times line up. Match copies a selected zone’s settings to the other. Those controls are useful when you want different foods to share a meal time, but they do not turn the fryer into two separate drawer appliances. Both sides occupy one wide pull-out basket, and removing that basket exposes both sides together.
Remove the divider for the full 9-quart GrandZone. If your essential requirement is two independently set zones, use the divider and choose the two-zone plan; if one cooking area is enough, the GrandZone may be more useful. The nominal quart figure is a manufacturer capacity description, not a serving guarantee or evidence that a crowded load will cook evenly. The manual itself advises smaller batches when food is undercooked and explains that stacked or closely packed food may need shaking or flipping.
Functions and a manual warning that needs clarification
The manual lists Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Broil, Reheat and Dehydrate (shown as DRY), with each mode allowing time and temperature adjustments within its range. The overall setting range is 95–465°F. For example, Dry is listed at 95–200°F, while Broil reaches 465°F.
There is an important conflict in the same manual: its specifications and Dry chart permit a timer up to 48 hours, but its safety section also says, “Do not exceed 60 minutes on in a two hour period.” The instruction does not explain how the long drying or other longer timed programs fit that limit. Do not rely on the 48-hour timer as permission for a continuous long run. If extended drying or other long cooking is central to your use, ask COSORI to clarify the exact instruction before choosing this model. The manual also says not to leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.
Local controls, not a connected fryer
The TwinFry is operated at its front panel. Its manual says it is not intended for an external timer or a separate remote-control system; this review does not treat recipe access or a mobile app as remote cooking control. If you want to monitor a cook away from the kitchen or change settings by phone, this is not the documented choice. A straightforward panel can be a plus if you do not want appliance pairing, but it offers fewer remote conveniences than a model whose exact manual specifies them.
Materials, cleanup and handling
COSORI says the basket and crisper plates have a nonstick, PFAS-free ceramic coating. Treat this as a manufacturer materials disclosure for CAF-TF901-KUS, not as an independent chemical test, a health assessment or a coating-longevity result. Do not automatically transfer the same claim to another similar-looking COSORI model if its own page does not state it.
The manual says the basket and crisper plates are dishwasher-safe after the appliance cools; hand washing with hot, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge is another option. Avoid metal utensils and abrasive materials, keep the heating coil dry and do not immerse the housing. The two crisper plates fit only one way and use silicone stoppers; the manual warns that hot plates can fall out if you turn the basket over. Hold the basket level when unloading, use suitable utensils for hot food, and give the pieces time to cool before cleanup.
Counter fit and the wide drawer tradeoff
The official manual lists 120 volts, 60 hertz, 1,750 watts, 17.2 pounds and dimensions of 19.0 inches deep by 11.9 wide by 11.1 high, including the handle. Measure the counter depth and allow the manual's five inches of space above and behind the unit. Leave enough room in front to pull out the whole wide basket and set it on a stable, heat-safe surface. A single wide drawer is not necessarily easier to handle than two narrower ones, particularly when loaded with hot food; the manual calls out the need to rest it on a flat surface.
Before first use, COSORI instructs owners to wash the basket, divider and crisper plates, place the appliance on a stable heat-resistant surface and run its short test cycle. Keep the side and rear vents unobstructed. The wide form may make a single full-area cook possible, yet it needs real clearance both for ventilation and basket removal; a shallow cabinet or crowded countertop can defeat the convenience.
Who should consider it?
Consider CAF-TF901-KUS if you want the option of two separately set food zones that can finish together, and you also value being able to remove the divider for one larger cooking area. Its single basket is a meaningful distinction from a model with two independent drawers, so inspect the exact configuration and dimensions before buying. If two separate drawers, a smaller front-to-back footprint, phone control or a settled long-dehydration operating instruction is essential, compare other exact models instead. For a simple one-zone meal, the divider-out GrandZone is a usable plan—but a one-basket model may take less counter depth and avoid paying for zone controls you will not use. Read the guide to one wide drawer versus two zones alongside the finder, and verify the CAF-TF901-KUS code on the seller's listing and box.
