Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Is one pull-out basket enough, rather than two separately controlled baskets?
The exact GAF734 guide and page show one opaque basket and one cooking area; foods share a cook schedule.
Explore this need in the finder →Does a seven-quart nominal basket meet your minimum?
The U.S. product page lists seven quarts. It meets a seven-quart minimum, not a stricter requirement above seven quarts.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you need a documented Dehydrate mode?
The exact GAF734 guide lists Dehydrate separately from Air Fry, with a 90°F minimum for that mode only.
Explore this need in the finder →Must ordinary Air Fry reach 400°F?
The model-code-matched guide lists Air Fry through 400°F, not 401°F or 450°F.
Explore this need in the finder →Must the removable basket and crisper have documented dishwasher cleaning?
The exact product page says dishwasher-safe; the model guide limits cleaning to the top rack after cooling.
Explore this need in the finder →Is an explicit all-surface PFAS-free statement essential?
The GAF734 sources do not disclose the basket coating chemistry or make a complete food-contact PFAS-free claim.
Explore this need in the finder →The Gourmia GAF734 is a nominal 7-quart digital basket air fryer with one pull-out basket, one crisper tray and twelve named touch presets. The most useful reason to consider it is size: the official product page and its model-coded guide describe a larger single-basket option than Gourmia’s GAF652 6-quart unit. That added nominal capacity does not create a second cooking zone, a window through the basket or a promise about portions. If separate foods must finish on different schedules, look beyond this layout.

A larger drawer, not a dual-zone upgrade
Gourmia lists seven quarts, and the owner manual shows a basket with a removable crisper tray. The figure helps distinguish it from a smaller model, but it is a nominal capacity rather than a measured food load or a serving count. In its troubleshooting advice, Gourmia says to stay below the basket’s max line and to use a smaller batch or a single layer when crispness is lacking. That is a more practical shopping constraint than assuming that all seven quarts can be filled with food and still cook evenly. The available product page and manual do not give a full three-axis outside footprint, so check the appliance dimensions from an exact seller or label before committing scarce counter space.
What the presets actually let you change
The touch panel names Air Fry, Fries, Wings, Bacon, Seafood and Vegetables, alongside Bake, Roast, Broil, Dehydrate, Reheat and Keep Warm. Temperature and time are adjustable, and the preset is a starting point rather than a doneness sensor. The manual lists Air Fry from 170°F to 400°F, Dehydrate from 90°F to 170°F, and Keep Warm from 150°F to 200°F. The lower 90°F endpoint belongs to Dehydrate, not ordinary Air Fry; 400°F is the documented upper endpoint. If your essential setting is 450°F, this model does not satisfy it.
Preheat and Turn Reminder can be toggled before starting. For some presets those prompts are already enabled by default. When preheat is selected, the unit signals when to add food; a turn reminder pauses the routine with a halfway prompt to remove and turn or toss the contents. It is still a reminder, not automatic stirring or an integrated food probe. Gourmia’s guide tells cooks to check before the timer ends and to verify that raw proteins reach a food-safe temperature. Do not interpret a digital display as measurement inside the food.
Cleanup, clearance and material questions
The product page calls the nonstick basket and crisper tray dishwasher-safe; the GAF734 manual specifies the top rack after the pieces have cooled. It cautions against metal utensils and abrasive cleaning because they can damage the nonstick surface. The manual also identifies the crisper tray’s silicone bumpers as food-grade and BPA-free, and says they can be removed for cleaning. That statement applies to those bumpers, not automatically to every food-contact surface. Gourmia does not identify the basket’s underlying material or coating chemistry, or make an explicit PFAS-free claim for the complete cooking set. If a particular substrate or coating declaration is essential, treat it as unconfirmed rather than inferring it from the silver-finish housing.
For ventilation, the exact guide asks for at least four inches of clearance above and around the fryer and says not to place anything on top during use. Its electrical label is 120 V, 60 Hz and 1,500 W, useful for checking an ordinary U.S. outlet and circuit plan. Those numbers do not establish cooking speed or efficiency. The manufacturer page captured for this assessment displayed the product as sold out; stock can change, and this review does not guarantee availability.
Who should compare the GAF734?
Consider it if a seven-quart nominal basket suits your batch plan, one cooking zone is enough, and named Dehydrate and Broil settings matter. The GAF652 is the six-quart alternative in the same general digital basket family; capacity is the most visible difference, while exact counter fit still needs dimensions. The GAF7020 is also listed at seven quarts but uses a transparent glass cooking vessel, so it is the more relevant comparison if seeing food through the vessel matters more than an opaque drawer. Neither nominal capacity nor preset count proves a particular meal will fit. These are manufacturer-source assessments, not cooking tests.
