Model comparison
Cuisinart AIR-80, AIR-212 or TOA-110?
These three Cuisinart models do not form a simple small, medium and large ladder. AIR-80 is a compact basket; AIR-212 is a longer, larger single drawer; TOA-110 is a door-front oven. The useful first question is how food will be loaded and checked, then whether the documented settings and care instructions fit your routine.
Start with the cooking space you need
AIR-80 has a 2.6-quart pull-out drawer and one cooking zone. Its exact booklet's chart lists one pound of fries and one to one-and-a-half pounds of wings. The Cuisinart page gives a six-by-six-inch cooking surface, while the manual says six-and-one-quarter by six-and-one-quarter inches. Treat those as conflicting published dimensions, not a usable-area guarantee. For small servings or a narrow counter, its 13-by-9.21-by-8-inch listed body and 6.17-pound weight are relevant; the maker's page gives 1100 watts and a 400°F maximum setting.
AIR-212 is an eight-quart elongated drawer with an 8.5-by-12-inch surface in the manual. It remains one basket and one setting at a time, but it gives you more nominal capacity and a window/light for checking food. Its page lists 10.4-by-19.2-by-12-inch dimensions; the long dimension deserves a counter check. Cuisinart's page advertises 3 pounds of fries and a 4.5-pound chicken, while its booklet's chart gives 2 pounds of fries and a 4-pound chicken. Use the manual as the more cautious planning reference and don't treat either claim as a measured guarantee.
TOA-110 changes category within the category: the 0.90-cubic-foot cavity has a door, three rack positions and a set of removable oven accessories. Its 18.6-by-15-by-16.25-inch body weighs 33 pounds. It lists six cooking modes plus four air-fry presets; a rack position does not act as a separate zone, and the product does not publish quart capacity. That makes it the only one here for people who specifically want an oven with toast and rack use, but it is also the largest counter commitment.
Functions are not interchangeable
AIR-80 documents Air Fry, Roast and Bake with French Fries, Wings and Frozen Snacks presets. It has a viewing window, toss reminder, auto-pause when the drawer is removed, automatic Keep Warm and a 60-minute maximum timer. AIR-212 adds named Broil and Dehydrate modes, five presets and a separate Max Crisp function documented at 405–450°F. The AIR-212 page's feature list says four presets even though its main description and manual name five; the exact booklet is the more detailed source. Its listed maximum is 450°F, but the sources do not establish one global minimum for all modes.
TOA-110 offers Air Fry, Toast, Bake, Broil, Roast and Warm. The exact manual gives Air Fry 200–450°F for up to one hour, Bake and Roast 200–450°F for up to two hours, Broil fixed at 450°F for up to two hours, and Warm 150–300°F for up to two hours. Toast uses shade and slice choices. Therefore the general 150–450°F page range does not mean air frying starts at 150°F. If a low-setting threshold is essential, match it to the actual function you will use rather than the model's broadest temperature range.
Cleaning and placement may decide it
AIR-80's basket and crisper plate are dishwasher-safe, though the manual recommends hand washing to preserve the ceramic coating. AIR-212's removable basket and crisper plate are also described as dishwasher-safe; the manual permits that but recommends nonabrasive care. TOA-110's exact booklet says its accessories are not dishwasher-safe. All three manuals call for countertop clearance and caution around hot surfaces; the AIR-212 and TOA-110 instructions specify two to four inches around the appliance and say not to run beneath wall cabinets or in an appliance garage. These directions make shelf height and nearby objects part of the fit decision, not an afterthought.
A practical short list
- AIR-80: compact single-drawer option for smaller portions, with window and dishwasher-care documentation; it has the smallest chart loads.
- AIR-212: one larger elongated basket with a window, Broil, Dehydrate and Max Crisp; do not assume two independent settings or settle the page/manual load discrepancy by guesswork.
- TOA-110: door-front oven for toast and rack-based cooking, but accessories are hand-washed and no quart figure is listed.
For a six-quart basket alternative with different window and mode choices, compare AIR-200NAS. For an eight-quart one-basket design without AIR-212's same mode list, see the separately assessed AIR-210. None of these format choices should be reduced to a single capacity number: check the exact code, mode, load guidance, surface area, counter clearance and cleaning routine that matter in your kitchen.
